Sri. Arvind H.Dharmadhikari

Born to late Sri. Arvind H.Dharmadhikari and late Smt.Shubha Dharmadhikari on 8th July, 1966 at Raipur. Obtained Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce and Law from Nagpur University. Enrolled as an Advocate in the High Court of Madhya Pradesh at Jabalpur in 1992. Was Standing Counsel for Union of India since 2000 till 2015, Income Tax Department, Reserve Bank of India, Senior Standing Counsel for Central Excise, District Central Co-operative Bank, Hoshangabad, Various Public Sector Undertakings, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, BSNL, Welfare Commissioner, Bhopal Gas Victim. Appointed as Additional Judge of High Court of Madhya Pradesh on 07.04.2016 and as a Permanent Judge on 17.03.2018. Transferred to High Court of Kerala and took oath as Judge on 23.04.2025.

He assumed charge as the 50th Chief Secretary of the state on August 19, 2024. He is a 1991-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer. Education: He is a computer science engineering graduate from Anna University and holds an MBA from IIM-Ahmedabad. Previous Roles: He has served as the Collector of Chennai, Coimbatore, and Karur districts. He also served as the Secretary of the Finance and Industries Departments. Significance: He is the third Dalit officer to hold the post of Chief Secretary in Tamil Nadu.
